Home to the Arizona Diamondbacks, this is one of the few ballparks in the country with a retractable roof. Other attractions at Phoenix's Chase Field include a family picnic area and a swimming pool.

Castles and Coasters

This is a small amusement park that packs a lot in and includes a great roller coaster, four 18-hole miniature golf courses and numerous other rides. Castles and Coasters is conveniently located next to the Metrocenter, one of the biggest shopping malls in Phoenix and Arizona.

Phoenix Zoo

Taliesin West

Built as a winter camp in 1937 by the famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, today Phoenix's Taliesin West is a renowned architectural school. Tours are available to explore the various buildings and historic attractions, and learn about Wright's theories, such as his integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

American West Arena
